Today it’s not so unusual to be a psychic/medium. But there is a man who paved the way for the current crop of psychics – who was involved in spiritualism long before today’s trend. That man is legendary celebrity psychic/medium Kenny Kingston.
Kenny’s ability to contact the spirit world came when he was born to the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter. In Irish lore, this is a very psychic sign. Kenny Kingston’s television career has flourished for many years. One recent Halloween, for the first time in history, Kenny did something which might be referred to as “spirits in cyberspace.” Subscribers to the immensely popular America Online were able to log onto their computers and spend time with Kenny in “Center Stage”, where he answered their personal questions, brought in spirits, and told subscribers how to develop their own psychic ability. He has since done several other online chats.
Television infomercials for his “Kenny Kingston Psychic Hotline” combined talk-show format entertainment and visits to haunted locations in addition to promoting the hotline. Segments were taped aboard the legendary Queen Mary steamship, in San Francisco (including Alcatraz, where Kenny revealed for the first time what he psychically felt happened to the three men who escaped “The Rock” in 1962), in Hollywood, California, throughout the fabulous French Quarter in New Orleans, and in both Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The shows aired for 8 years and were among the most-watched, most educational and most financially successful 900-number infomercials of all time, grossing $4-6 million in monthly revenue for the show’s sponsors.
As a special honor while he was taping infomercial #2, Kenny was given a proclamation from San Francisco’s Mayor Jordan naming that particular August 1 “Kenny Kingston Day” – indeed an honor, especially since it was in this city that his career as a psychic really began.
The dynamic psychic has given predictions and interviews regularly to Los Angeles Magazine, Movieline, Mademoiselle, the National Enquirer, Globe, the London Daily Star, Woman’s World, the London Sun and other major magazines and newspapers throughout the world.
The personable clairvoyant is a favorite on four continents in night clubs, on cruises and on the motivational lecture circuit, often incorporating material from the 5 books he has authored into his appearances.
