There is nothing more beautiful then a collection of Tarot Cards. So many pictures, so many individual meanings. One fatal mistake to Tarot Channeling {and I say channeling because this is the point where you stop using Tarot as flash card memory cards, and gaze into the art work as if 3-D posters, for visions and answers.} I call this “Tarot Trinity”, when conscious, subconscious and Intuition meet as one. Unless your cards have the kind of art work that speaks to your individual soul, instead of Tarot Trinity, you will get a kind of befuddled “HUH?” “Huh?” means you have to stop and read the book that came with the cards to learn how the artist interpreted them instead of relying on your own intuitive insight.
So really pick the kind of cards you want to read with carefully. There is an art to picking your signature cards as detailed as choosing wine. Here is a guide:
1} Does the color usage of the cards speak to you?
2} Do the Major Arcana carry symbolic images that you can connect with immediately when reading? Or are they just beautiful random images?
3} Do the Minor Arcana carry equally symbolic Images that speak to your Tarot Trinity? Often artists put most hours into the Major Arcana title cards, and rush through the Minor arcama images.
4} Do the cards fit well into your hand? Are they crisp and easy to shuffle?
5} How does the ink smell when you shuffle? A good quality ink smells almost like incense.
WHY ARE THESE THINGS IMPORTANT IN READING TAROT? Because the single most spiritual journey you get from the art work, the feel, the rhythm of the shuffle and scent, is the Meditation and Trance which aligns you with the Tarot Trinity of Channeling; Conscious, Subconscious and Intuition. Welcome to Tarot Channeling.
